Who we are

Tuna ("Tuna", "we", "us", or "our") provides an AI employee that you hire and message like a teammate. Our website is usetuna.com. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@usetuna.com.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in, we store your email address.

Messages and content

When you message an AI employee, we process the text of that message, along with recent context from the same conversation, to generate a reply. Replies are posted back to you.

Connected integrations

When you connect a tool such as Linear or Google Ads, the connection is set up through our integration provider, Composio. Access tokens for those tools are held by Composio. Tuna requests data from a connected tool only when an AI employee needs it to answer a question or complete a task.

Usage and technical data

We collect basic logs and product analytics, such as pages visited and actions taken, to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

• Analyze and improve the product.
• Meet our legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers that help us run Tuna, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase, for authentication and database hosting.
• OpenAI, to generate AI replies from the messages you send to an employee.
• Composio, to connect and call the external tools you authorize.
• Our hosting and analytics providers, to run the website and understand usage.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

AI processing

Tuna uses OpenAI to turn your messages into replies. The text you send to an employee, along with relevant context, is sent to OpenAI through its API to generate a response, and is handled under OpenAI's API terms. We do not use your private messages to train our own models.

Data retention

We keep your account information and workspace connections for as long as your account is active. We retain only what we need to operate the service and keep a working history of your employees. When you disconnect a workspace or integration, the related tokens are removed. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep some of it to meet a legal obligation.

Security

We use industry standard measures to protect your data. Bot tokens and integration credentials are stored server side and are never exposed to the browser. Access to production data is limited. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• Disconnect any integration at any time, which removes the related access through Composio.
• Request a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing privacy@usetuna.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, such as the rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing. We will honor these rights as required by applicable law.

International transfers

Tuna and our service providers may process your information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Children

Tuna is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
